Burton Farm Shop & Kitchen

Wholesome Food Down On The Farm

The corner of the restaurant with bench seating and wood panelling walls. Art works are along the wall and also a garland of fake leaves and lights. Burton Farm, Local Farm shop, Chippenham.

"I’ve been there today with my family visiting from abroad for afternoon tea. It was so lovely! The food not only looked incredible and well presented but it was also delicious! The environment is very cozy and the staff were lovely. I definitely recommend :)"

"This is a great spot... The shop is on the small side but a fair few nice products. The café is great spot on a lovely road for a short ride out on the motorcycle... Nice coffee and better cakes... The decor makes it feel like an alpine lodge... However it does miss the pumping euro pop anthems and people dancing on the tables in ski boots for the full effect."

"Amazing place, loved it. Beautifully done out and smashing menu with lots of choice. Lunch menu looked good too with a selection of different things and interesting looking pizzas. Nice cake cabinet too! Wish it was closer to where I live that's all!"

- Hilary

"Visited this morning on a bike ride from Swindon, very impressed with the lovely surroundings, decided on a sausage roll which was really scrumptious and a white Americano with a choice of hot or cold milk, opted for hot as it wasn't the warmest of days. Will definitely return!!"

A real farm in the middle of the English country and well served by a lot of parking places. The place is very clean, full of details and cozy. We’ve been there last week and was fully decorated for Halloween…wonderful! The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The food is unbelievable! There is also a corner where you can buy their products and other stuff.Super recommended!Unmissable!
First time visiting, had a fantastic breakfast with good coffee, and very friendly staff 👍
Tutto buono, grande gentilezza e prodotti di qualità
often passed by this farm shop/café so thought we'd give it a try.bought a flat White and earl grey tea, both of which were disappointing. The coffee tasted as though it was from a one touch machine not a Barrista bean to cup machine and the earl grey was poor.would of bought a sweet treat but OMG they were overpriced for what were very small slices, shame!

Come by and Tuck In

On the wayside when you reach the village of Burton – just a short drive west of Chippenham, Wiltshire on the fringes of the Cotswolds – you’ll find our rustic farm shop and country kitchen, offering sanctuary and sustenance for passers-by and our local community.

We’re easy to find on the B3049 – look out for the Burton Farm Shop sign pointing to the wooden stable barn on the farm that has been in our family for generations.

We offer a great selection of fresh local produce, meat, artisan cheese, jams & preserves, flowers and gifts for sale in our shop, and a delicious home-cooked menu of favourites and gourmet specialities are cooked up in our kitchen, to take you through from breakfast to lunch, afternoon tea and cakes.

We’re ready to welcome you throughout the week, please check our seasonal opening hours.

Hearty Breakfasts & Luscious Lunches

The comprehensive menus and specials for breakfast and lunch we serve up in our cosy Kitchen vary slightly seasonally according to the fresh farm produce that is available locally. We’ve succeeded in providing something for all tastes and dietary preferences, including a comprehensive gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian menu.

We cater for appetites large and small – from our giant Burton Big Breakfast (quite a challenge!) to a bowl of granola with yoghurt, honey and fruit to start the day; a hearty homemade beef burger and chips to a tempting panini for lunch. Our cakes for afternoon tea are irresistible.

There’s always our “specials” board available to tempt your tastebuds with our gourmet hot dishes of the day and we do take-aways to order.

All our food is prepared and home-cooked from fresh each day, using produce sourced from the local area.

Village Life

Burton Farm Shop is not just for the convenience of passing trade and visitors to our village. We play an important role in village life.

People use our Kitchen as a meeting space, and on fine days you’ll often find visitors enjoying time out with a book and cup of tea in our outside area, kept company by the donkeys and alpacas in the neighbouring field.

We also run extremely popular Supper Club evenings where everyone and anyone can get together and have a jolly good time each month, with a different themed menu on each occasion. The last few have been sold out, so there’s no doubt these social soirees are a hit.

You can keep up with life at Burton Farm via our Facebook Page and our Instagram, but even better – come and visit us in person. We’ll be delighted to meet you.
